2017 Roadrunner Aquatics Information:
LOCATION: NITRO NORTH (see emails for address)
PRACTICE DATES: Sundays, July 16th through September 10th
PRACTICE TIME: 1:30 to 2:45

PREREQUISITES and General Information:
APPROPRIATE SWIM SUIT – A swim suit that fits snug. One piece for girls that will not fall off shoulders when in the water (suits are more loose when wet) and preferably jammers for boys but swim trunks with draw strings at the least.
GOGGLES – That fit and do not leak water.
WATER BOTTLE – They will need to have water readily available at every practice. Please keep snacks and other drinks for after practice.
TOWEL – For after practice.
OTHER – Swim cap and/or ear plugs. Whatever your athlete needs to be comfortable in the water.
SPECIAL NOTE:
**A spot on the team is not guaranteed. Space is limited based on number of qualified volunteers committing to the season.

- High school athletes are given first priority for sign-up, then middle school athletes.
- Athlete must be able to swim a distance of 25 meters non-stop, without touching the bottom, holding the lane line, or switching strokes.
- Attendance at practice is expected at all times unless athlete is ill, in which case an email or text should be sent to Stephanie Kolaczkowski.
- Parents will be needed to help on-site during practice and expected to complete Class A volunteer process with Special Olympics Texas
- Participation in scrimmages AND Area 13 competition is REQUIRED.
